The Grundfos JP PS (99463941) is a self-priming, single-stage centrifugal jet pump designed with an axial inlet and radial outlet, allowing for straightforward connection to most local piping systems. It is well suited for pumping water from wells or ground storage tanks across a wide range of applications and offers strong suction performance.
This pump includes a built-in pressure switch that automatically starts the unit when water demand occurs. For improved system performance, the addition of a diaphragm tank is recommended. A diaphragm tank helps maintain consistent pressure when a faucet is opened and reduces the likelihood of water hammer within the piping system.
The JP pump is engineered for reliable, long-term operation. Its durable construction provides excellent corrosion resistance through the use of a stainless-steel pump housing, a composite impeller, and an electrophoretic paint coating. The compact design incorporates an integrated ejector with guide vanes, which enhances the pump’s self-priming capability. With a suction lift of up to 8 meters, the pump can draw water from below the inlet level and handle mixtures of air and water during priming until full pumping conditions are achieved.
